I just finished Bitter is the new Black by Jen Lancaster. I really liked it and can't for the life of me figure out why it took so long to read..Onto the next...

13 down, 37 to go
Just finished The Pelican Brief by John Grisham. I loved it. It is actually ironic because it was about drilling in Louisiana and the endangered pelican. I really enjoyed the book and was typical of John Grisham...suspenseful.
On another note, this goal is turning into distant dream...

12 down, 38 to go!
I just finished "The Sleeping Beauty Proposal" by Sarah Strohmeyer. It was a good light read. It was a girl's book and only took me a couple of days to read. I would recommend it if you are looking for something light and chicky :)

11 down, 39 to go!
Having a baby has temporarily slowed down my reading. I need to get back on pace! Anyway, I just finished reading Lamb by Christopher Moore. It was a funny story about Christ's childhood. It started out good and I was laughing out loud. However, I thought it was slow reading from the middle on. But it was still funny and I did not think it made fun of any religion in anyway.

10 down, 40 to go!
I just finished the King of Torts by John Grisham at about 5:30 this morning...I was up since 2:20 and couldn't sleep. What better time to finish a book? Not one of my favorite Grishams, but it was a Grisham none the less. It dealt with Big Business, so a little less my style. I am trying to read all of his books..

9 down, 41 to go!
Just finished "Shutter Island" by Dennis Lehane. All I can say is Wow. If you have seen the movie, you know what I mean (assuming movie follows book). It was a slow start for me and I felt like I had skipped a chapter or something...I was really confused. But I plugged away and things fell together. I just can't believe the twists and turns that this book took. I thought I had it all put together until the last chapter....now I am totally confused!

8 down, 42 to go
Just finished "Three Cups of Tea: One man's mission to promote peace...One school at a time" by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. I would highly, highly recommend reading it. There are so many facts and misunderstandings about Pakistan and Afganistan that I learned when reading this. If you get a chance, read "Three cups of Tea"
